You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Activity card holders x numbers
Non activity card holders y numbers

1 x + 1 y = 359 .............1
1.25 x + 2.25 y = 709.75 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by 2.25
Multiply (2) by -1
2.25 x + 2.25 y = 807.75
-1.25 x + -2.25 y = -709.75
Add the two equations
1 x = 98
/ 1
x = 98.00
plug value of x in (1)
1 x + 1 y = 359
98 + 1 y = 359
1 y = 359 -98
1 y = 261
y = 261
Activity card holders 98 numbers
Non activity card holders 261 numbers
