Question 480282: i have to name set of numbers which each real number belong. I am confused on irrational and rational when naming the sets with a square root. I dont know if Im suppose to write irrational only or all that it can be, when it is solved. or unsolved.

sqrt(x) is irrational unless x is a perfect square.

The perfect squares are 1,4,9,16,25, etc
