Tea cost y/kg
11x+6y=13.30.......1
6x+11y=17.30....2
11 x + 6 y = 13.3 .............1
6 x + 11 y = 17.3 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by -11
Multiply (2) by 6
-121 x -66 y = -146.3
36 x + 66 y = 103.8
Add the two equations
-85 x = -42.5
/ -85
x = 0.50
plug value of x in (1)
11 x + 6 y = 13.3
5.5 + 6 y = 13.3
6 y = 13.3 -5.5
6 y = 7.8
y = 1.30

11t+6s=17.30
Multiply (1) by 11 and (2) by (-6) then add both equations
66t+121s=146.30
-66t-36s=-103.80

85s=42.5
S=42.5/85=0.5$/kg
Put the value of S in equation (1) or (2)
6t+11(0.5)=13.30
6t+5.5=13.30
6t=13.30-5.5
6t=7.80
t=7.80/6
t=1.30$/kg
