2y=4x-16
5y=4x+8
----------- Subtract
-3y=-24
y = 8
------
5y=4x+8
5*8 = 4x + 8
4x + 8 = 40
x = 8
--------------
Form doesn't matter, just look for the most direct way to solve them.
