You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
x1 y1 x2 y2
1 8 2 -4
slope m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
( -4 - 8 )/( 2 - 1 )
( -12 / 1 )
m= -12.00 -12
Plug value of the slope and point ( 1 , 8 ) in
Y = m x + b
8.00 = -12 + b
b= 8 -12
b= 20
So the equation will be
Y = -12 x + 20
