You can put this solution on YOUR website! I set up a line with A = 0 and E = 1.

A = 0
B = 1/4
C = 1/2
D = 3/4
E = 1
So, the percentage of AC that is AD,
(3/4) /  (1/2) = (3/4) / (2/4) = 3/2, = 1.5 or 150%.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! C is the midpoint of line segment AE. B and D are on line segment AE so that AB=BC and CD=DE. what percent of AC is AD?

Since C is midpoint of AE, it follows that AC = CE
Since AB = BC, it follows that B is the midpoint of AC
Since CD = DE, it follows that D is the midpoint of C

If AB = x, then BC, CD, and DE also = x

Therefore, AC = AB + BC ----- AC = x + x ------ AD = 2x
Also, AD = AB + BC + CD ----- AD = x + x +x ----- AD = 3x

Since AD = 3x, and AC = 2x, then AD is 3x/2x, or 3/2, or % of AC.
