Question 479039: Exactly how many cubic centimeters of ice cream can an ice cream cone hold (within the cone) if its height is 8 centimeters and the radius of its base is 3 centimeters? Include correct units with your solution. Use "pi" for π.
Hello. Can someone assist me with this problem? How do you break it down? Thank you!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the formula for the volume of a cone is
v=1/3 b h = 1/3pi r^2 h clear as mud?
ok, lets do this, its imagine the cone is instead a cylinder, do pi r^2 times height, that will give you the cylinder volume, to get the cone, just divide by 3
ok, soooo
3.14 x 9 x 8 = 226.08 cu/cm now, divide by 3 and we get = 75.36 cu/cm
so, the volume of the ice cream cone is 75.36 cu/cm
