You can put this solution on YOUR website!
My question is: Find any intersection points of the graphs of the equations.
y=2x^2
y=x^4-2x^2
**
You can solve this like most systems of equations:
Substitute 2x^2 for y in second equation
2x^2=x^4-2x^2
4x^2=x^4
divide by x^2
4=x^2
x=±2 (points of intersection)
note: dividing by the variable can cause a loss of an answer. In this case, you can see that when x=0, both equations are=0, so zero is the third point of intersection.
