Question 478289: Hi All, I'm having trouble with this word problem, can't seem to find the equation to solve it. If someone could show me the steps, so I may understand I've been stuck on this problem for a bit now. I would really appreciate the help. Thank you.
A jogger begins her workout by jogging to the park, a distance of 11 miles. She then jogs home at the same speed, but along a different route. This return trip is 16 miles, and her time is one hour longer. Find her jogging speed. Let x=the jogging speed.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! well, i didnt know the equation, but i did it in my head
the difference in distance from 11 miles to 16 miles is 5 miles, and it took her an hour more to go the 16 miles, so her jogging speed would be 5mph
5 mph
