Question 478014: I'm having Geometry homework trouble. Please help, if you can!
My homework question says: Determine (a) the area and (b) the circumference of the circle. Use the π key on your calculator and round your answer to the nearest hundredth (My calc doesn't even have that symbol).

Also, does the π symbol me "pi constant"? Thank you for your help.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

given:
radius r=13mm
Determine:
(a) the area and
(b) the circumference of the circle
(a) the area of the circle is
A=r%5E2%28pi%29
since %28pi%29=3.14, we will have
A=%2813mm%29%5E2%283.14%29
A=%28169mm%5E2%29%283.14%29
A=530.66mm%5E2

(b) the circumference C of the circle
C=2r%28pi%29
C=2%2813mm%29%283.14%29
C=%2826mm%29%283.14%29
C=81.64mm
