You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Since we "add three data values to the sample" and "the mode is 73" this means that we MUST add 2 copies of 73 (to ensure that the mode is 73).

Note: if we add 3 copies of 73, then the mean won't come out to 91. Also, if we add only one copy of 73, then the mode won't be 73.

So we now have 70, 73, 73, 100

Now we must ensure that the mean is 91. So add up the values (along with a fifth number x) and divide that sum by 5 to get 91 like so

%2870%2B73%2B73%2B100%2Bx%29%2F5=91

Now solve for x

%2870%2B73%2B73%2B100%2Bx%29%2F5=91

%28316%2Bx%29%2F5=91

316%2Bx=91%2A5

316%2Bx=455

x=455-316

x=139

So the last data value to add is 139

So the three data values to add are: 73, 73, and 139

Giving us the final set of values to be: 70, 73, 73, 100, 139
