You can put this solution on YOUR website!
What is the x intercept of y=(-3/4)x+5?
Let y = 0 and solve for "x":
-----
(-3/4)x = -5
x = -5(-4/3)
---
x = 20/3 is the x-intercept
-----------------
Graph:
Let x = 0, then y = 5 giving you (0,5)
Let x = 4, then y = 2 giving you (4,2)
---
Plot those two points and draw a line thru them
to get:
