Question 476076: A football quarterback throws a football w/ a speed of 48 feet per square second @ an angle of 45 degrees upward from the ground. The vector that describes the motion of the football is:
a) 34i-34j
b) 34i+34j
c) 30i+30j
d) 68i+68j
Can someone please help? I do not know how to do this! I really do not know why my college placed me in advanced Math either!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A football quarterback throws a football w/ a speed of 48 feet per square second @ an angle of 45 degrees upward from the ground. The vector that describes the motion of the football is:
-----------------
Should be just 48 ft/sec, not squared.
------------
The i and j components are equal, and are
48*sin(45) or 48*sqrt(2)/2
=~ 34
--> 34i + 34j
b
-------------
If this is foreign to you, get out of the class. It gets a lot worse.
