Let x and ( 3x-10) represent the width and length respectively

Question states***

 2(3x-10) + 2x = 92yd

Solving for x 

        8x = 112yd

         x = 14yd, the width.  The length is 32yd    (42-10)

CHECKING our Answer***

  64yd + 28yd  = 92yd
