If you constructed the dot-plot you saw that
the points do not lie on a line. So using
2 points to find the equation will only give
you the equation for the line thru those 2
points.

The problem requires that you develop a linear
regression equation for the set of data.
Your book may explain how to do that manually
or you may use a calculator to generate the
equation. I used a TI-84 to get the following
equation: f(x) = -0.86x + 76.727
The f(x) for the year 2012 is f(32) = 73.975
