You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Eva is 10 years older than Dan. in 8 years, twice Eva's age will equal 3 times Dan's age. How old is each at present?
------
Equations:
e = d + 10
2(e+8) = 3(d+8)
-----
Substitute for "e" and solve for "d":
2(d+18) = 3(d+8)
2d+36 = 3d+18
d = 18 (Dan's age now)
---
Since e = d+10
e = 18+10 = 28
----
Eva's age now.
