There are 36 outcomes total, so that is your probability denominator. There are 2 ways to make a 3, 4 ways to make 5, 6 ways to make 7, 4 ways to make 9, and 2 ways to make 11. Then there are 2 ways to make a 6 containing a 5, 2 ways to make an 8 containing a 5, and 1 way to make a 10 containing a 5. All together: 2 + 4 + 6 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 1 = 23 ways to be successful out of 36 outcomes.
