You can put this solution on YOUR website!
+x%2F40%2Bx%2F30=1
+%283x%29%2F120%2B%284x%29%2F120=1
+%283x%2B4x%29%2F120=1
+%287x%29%2F120=1 cross multiply
+7x=120 divide each side by 7
+x=120%2F7=17.14=17 so it would take about 17 minutes

Hi,
Let x represent how long will it take them together to mow this yard
Question states*** Per Minute the Equalizer
1/40 + 1/30 = 1/x |Multiplying thru by 30*40*x, so as all denominators = 1
30x + 40x = 30*40
70x = 1200
x = 17.1429 min, time it would take togehter to mow this yard
