if x,y and z are all increased by 10%, then a man has 1.1x ballons at 1.1y cents each. he sold all of them at 1.1z cents each, so his profit is 1.1x%281.1z-1.1y%29=1.1x%2A1.1%28z-y%29=1.21x%28z-y%29 cents
The percentage increase in profit (1.21-1)*100%=21%
