Let c be rate of current
d = r*t
d = 135
r = 55-c (since its upstream, current slows him down)
t = 3
=> 135 = 3(55-c)
Distribute
135 = 165 - 3c
Add 3c to both sides, Subtract 135 to both sides
3c = 30
Divide by 3 on both sides
c = 10
The speed of the current is 10 meters per min
