Hi
Long Division is performed in a similar fashion as with numbers
(2x^3-29x+12)/ (x+4) = 2x^2 -8x + 3

2x^2 + (-8x) + 3
__________________________
x + 4 | 2x^3 -29x +12
- (2x^3 + 8x^2)
---------------
-8x^2 - 29x
- (-8x^2 - 32x))
--------------
3x + 12
- (3x + 12)
--------
