Question 467633: The sum of the measures of angles of a triangle are 180. If the largest angle is nine time larger than the smallest angle, and the third angle is 70 degrees larger than the smallest angle, find the measure of the angles Found 2 solutions by rfer, Puppysaur:Answer by rfer(16322) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The smallest angle is 10 degrees
So that if the largest angle is 9 times larger than the smallest one it equals 90. (10*9)
Then the third angle is 70 degrees larger...so letting the smallest angle represent x.... (70+x)
Largest angle: 10*9=90
Smallest angle: 10
Third angel:70+10=80
Total: 90+10+80=180
Guess and check to figure out what the measurement of the smallest angle is, and once you make a logical guess plug it back in and see if it equals 180.
