In an isosceles trinagle, the ratio of the measures of its base angle to its vertex angle is 1:43. What is the measure of each angle in triangle LOK?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let's call the base angles (which are equal in an isosceles) be called "B".
Let the Vertex angle be called "V".
The sum of all the angles in any triangle is 180 degrees, so:
V%2B2B=180
Also, from the ratio given, we know that the vertex angle is 43 times the base angle:
V=43B
Now put V=43B into the first equation:
43B%2B2B=180
45B=180
B=180%2F45=4
Now multiply 4 by 43 to find V:
V=4x43=172
So the base angles are both 4 degrees and the vertex angle is 172 degrees.
I hope this helps,
Adam
