You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given the function f(x)=(x-1)(x+3)(x+1)²
(A)Find the x- and y-intercepts;
x intercepts:
Let y = 0 and solve for "x":
x = 1; x = -3 ; x = -1 with multiplicty 2
-----
y intercept:
Let x = 0
Then y = -1*3*1^2 = -3
---------------------------------
(B)Determine whether the graph crosses or touches the x-axis at each intercept;
Crosses at x = -3
Touches at x = -1
Crosses at x = 1
--------------------------
(C)Graph the function
