Question 466247: (3x)^-2 rewrite with positive exponents, simplify as much as possible
Answer by algebrahouse.com(1659) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! To make a negative exponent positive, either move it up into the numerator,
or down into the denominator....opposite of where it currently is.
(3x)^-2
1
----- {moved it down into the denominator to make a positive exponent}
(3x)²
1
---- {took everything in parentheses to the 2nd power}
9x²
