You can put this solution on YOUR website! the complement of an angle is six more than six times the measures of the angle.
.
Two angles are "complementary" if the sum is 90 degrees.
.
Let x = measure of angle
then
6x+6 = complement of above angle
.
x + (6x+6) = 90
x + 6x+6 = 90
7x+6 = 90
7x = 84
x = 84/7
x = 12 degrees
.
complement then:
6x+6 = 6(12)+6 = 72+6 = 78 degrees
.
the two angles are then:
12 and 78 degrees
You can put this solution on YOUR website! To solve the problem of two complementary angles where the complement is 6 times plus 6 the value of the original angle, you can use algebra. The original angle is x. The complement is 6x+6. Therefore, x + 6x + 6 = 90. When the problem is solved, the original angle is equal to 12 degrees & the complement is 78 degrees.
