You can put this solution on YOUR website! If you mean 10 ft diameter, from flat to flat, then
each of the 8 sides are 4.142 ft long.

It's made of 8 triangles, so the central angles are 45 degs.
5 ft is the altitude.
s = 1/2 the length of the sides.
tan(45/2) = s/5
s = 5*tan(22.5)
2s = 10*tan(22.5) =~ 4.142 ft
