Hi,
Solve using the elimination method.
-5x + 4y = -16
-15x + 2y = -58
15x - 12y = 48 |Multiplying 1st EQ thru by -3 and adding the EQs to eliminate x
-15x + 2y = -58
-10y = -10
y = 1 and x = 4 ( -5x + 4 = -16, -5x = -20, x = 4 )
CHECKING our Answer***
-15x + 2y = -58
-60 + 2 = -58
