You can put this solution on YOUR website! x + (3/2)x = 20
2[x + (3/2)x = 20] {multiplied entire equation by 2 to eliminate fraction}
2(x) + 2[(3/2)x] = 2(20) {multiplied each term by 2}
2x + 3x = 40 {multiplied through}
5x = 40 {combined like terms}
x = 8 {divided both sides by 5}
