If 4 is added to twice a number and this sum is multiplied by 2, the result is the same as if the number is multiplied by 3 and 4 is added to the product. What is the number?
2x+4*2=3x+4
Am I setting this up right??

(2x+4)*2=3x+4
=> 4x + 8 = 3x+4
=> 4x -3x = 4 -8
=> x = -4
