Question 464124: Hi. I need help with a probability question. It's been a while since I've done this!
Here goes: If there is 60% chance it will rain on Saturday, a 60% chance it will rain on Sunday, and an 80% chance it will rain on Sunday when it rains on Saturday, what is the probability it will rain on the weekend?
Many thanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website! As i think that here to find the probability it will rain on both days i.e Saturday and Sunday.
probability = 60/100 * 80/100 = 48/100 i.e 48%
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
if you have to find the probability it will rain on either of two days.
probability that no rain on both days = 40/100 * 40/100
= 16/100 i.e 16%
probability that rain on any day = 1 -16/100 = 84/100 i.e 84%
