You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x = width
7x = length

Perimeter of a rectangle is 2(width) + 2(length)

2x + 2(7x) = 288 {perimeter is 2(width) + 2(length)}
2x + 14x = 288 {multiplied 2 by 7x}
16x = 288 {combined like terms}
x = 18 {divided both sides by 16}
7x = 126 {substituted 18, in for x, into 7x}

width = 18 ft and length = 126 ft
