You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Okay, as per given:
S%5BB%5D+=+x+mph
So, S%5BA%5D=x-18mph

Standard Eq'n for Speed+=+Distance%2FTime
Therefore,
S%5BA%5D=D%5BA%5D%2FT = T=+D%5BA%5D%2FS%5BA%5D---> Eqn 1
where, D%5BA%5D=200+miles in "T" time

Also, S%5BB%5D=D%5BB%5D%2FT = T=D%5BB%5D%2FS%5BB%5D ---> Eqn 2
where, D%5BB%5D=+290miles in "T" time.

Since T is the same, we can cancell it. Equating the 2 Eqns:
D%5BA%5D%2FS%5BA%5D=D%5BB%5D%2FS%5BB%5D
200%2F%28x-18%29=290%2Fx
200%28x%29=290%28X-18%29
200x=290x-5220
5220=290x-200x
5220=90x ----> cross%285220%2958%2Fcross%2890%29=cross%2890%29x%2Fcross%2890%29
red%28x=58mph%29 Speed of Train B

For Tran A: S%5BA%5D=+58-18+=red%2840mph%29

Check:
200%2F40=290%2F58
5=5, oks.

Thank you,
