then the number of miles rode on sunday wud be = 9 + (2/3)x
totally he rides = 69 miles
i.e,
saturday + sunday = 69

+5x+=+60+%2A+3+
+5x+=+180+
+x+=+36+
thus,
on saturday he rides 36 miles
