You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A triangle has a 20 degree angle, a 40 degree angle and a 120 degree angle. The length of the side opposite the 20 degree angle is 3 inches. Find the lengths of the other two sides.
My answer I got was 2.52 and 3.92
..
Mark angles 20º, 40º and 120º, A, B and C, respectively. Mark corresponding opposite sides a=3, b, and c
Using Law of Sines:
sin A/a=sin B/b
sin 20/3=sin 40/b
b=3*sin 40/sin 20=5.64
..
sin A/a=sin C/c
sin 20/3=sin 120/c
c=3*sin 120/sin 20=7.60
ans:
3 sides are: 3, 5.64, and 7.60
