You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hi. I need your help on problem solving. My math problem is as follows:
Four times the sum of 7 and some number is -8. What is the number?
Let x = the number
4(7+x) = -8
7+x = -2
x = -9
The number is -9.
To check:
4(7-9) = -8
-8 = -8
