Question 460628: Trains A and B are traveling in the same direction on parallel tracks. Train A is traveling at 100 miles per hour and train B is traveling at 110 miles per hour. Train A passes a station at 7:25pm. If train B passes the same station at 7:37pm at what time will train B catch up to train A?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

Distance traveled by train A during (7:37 - 7:25) i.e 12 minutes
= 100 * 12/60 = 20 miles

relative velocity = 110-100= 10 miles/hour
time = 20/10 = 2 hours

so, after 2 hours B will catch Train A.
