SOLUTION: Simplify by removing factors of 1
7s^2+7s/14s^2+49s
This is what I have so far:
7s(s+1) but I cannot figure out what goes underneath it.

Question 460184: Simplify by removing factors of 1
7s^2+7s/14s^2+49s
This is what I have so far:
7s(s+1) but I cannot figure out what goes underneath it. Answer by Edwin McCravy(20064) (Show Source):
7s² + 7s
——————————
14s² + 49s
Factor the numerator as you did by factoring out the
GCF of 7s and getting 7s(s + 1).
Factor the denominator by factoring out the GCF of 7s
and get 7s(2s + 7)
So you put 7s(s + 1) on top and 7s(s + 7) on the
bottom:
7s(s + 1)
———————————
7s(2s + 7)
Now you are to remove any factors of 1. Write it this way:
7s s + 1
——— × ————————
7s 2s + 7
And the is a factor of 1 so we remove it
and all we have left is:
s + 1
——————
2s + 7
