You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you travel 15 mi east and then 10 mi north, how far are you from your starting point? My answer was 18.02776 which was correct, but what would the points be if I used the formula sqrt(x2-x1)^2+(Y2-Y1)^2 ?
-----
Start at (0,0)
Move right to (15,0)
Move up to (15,10)
---
Find the distance between (0,0) and (15,10)
d = sqrt[15^2+10^2] = sqrt[225+100] = sqrt(325) = 18.03
