You can put this solution on YOUR website! 7. Which of the following could NOT be the lengths of the sides of a right triangle?
----
In each set of numbers there is a longest and two shorter sides.
If longest^2 = shorter side^2 + other shorter side ^2
you have a right triangle. If not, you don't.
------------------------------------
Example: 15,12,9
15^2 = 225
9^2 + 12^2 = 81+144 = 225
So this is a right triangle.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The second answer choice, 5-10-15, since it does not satisfy the Pythagorean theorem. In fact, 5-10-15 cannot be the side lengths of any non-degenerate triangle because it does not even satisfy the triangle inequality.
