Hello Lisa, you're missing the 'x' in your expression:
f(x)=-6-7
I'll assume it is:
f(x)=-6x-7
.
If so, then you can write:
f(x)=-6x-7
as
y=-6x-7
Note: f(x) is essentially y
.
Notice that:
y=-6x-7
is in "slope-intercept" form:
y = mx + b
where
m is the slope
b is the y-intercept at (0,b)
.
Therefore, from inspecting:
y=-6x-7
we see that
m = -6 (slope)
and
(0,-7) is the y-intercept
