Becky would like to buy some almonds and cashews. She decides to buy 3 pounds of almonds at $7.00 per pound. The cashews sell for $9.00 per pound. How many pounds of cashews did she buy if the average price was $8.25 per pound?

21+9x=24.75+8.25x
.75x=3.75
x=3.75/.75=5
