Question 458496: Two runners approaching each other on a straight track have constant speeds of 4.5m/s and 3.5m/s, respectively, when they are 100m apart. How long will it take for the runners to meet, and at what position will they meet if they maintain these speeds?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4.5+3.5=8 m/s
100 m/8 m/s=12.5 seconds
12.5x4.5=56.25
If we take the faster runners starting position as 0, the two runners meet at the 56.25 meter mark..
