y^2 - 5y - 14 = 0 ___ factoring ___ (y - 7)(y + 2) = 0 ___ y = 7 , y = -2

y^2 - 5y + 6 = 0 ___ factoring ___ (y - 3)(y - 2) = 0 ___ y = 3 , y = 2
