2x+y=3
y=3-2x
..
4x+2y=6
sub for y
4x+2(3-2x)=6
4x+6-4x=6
0=0
..
In this case the lines coincide (same slope, same y-intercept)
Equations are dependent and system consistent
System has infinitely many solutions
