evaluate y
-5x+y=14
y=14+5x
9x+9y=18
9x+9(14+5x)=18
9x+126+45x=18
9x+45x=18-126
54x=-108
devide both sides by 54
x=-2
9x+9y=18
substitude x by -2
9(-2)+9y=18
-18+9y=18
9y=18+18
9y=36
devide both sides by 9
y=4
