The best way to solve this is by usibng the qudratic solver x+=+%28-b+%2B-+sqrt%28+b%5E2-4%2Aa%2Ac+%29%29%2F%282%2Aa%29+
where
a = the amount of x%5E2 = 3
b = the amount of x = -2
c = the number on the end =
The Right hand side of the equals ign MUST be zero!!!
Now plug in the values for a, b and c:
x+=+%282+%2B-+sqrt%28+4-4%2A3%2A1+%29%29%2F%282%2A3%29+
x+=+%282+%2B-+sqrt%28+4-12+%29%29%2F6+
x+=+%282+%2B-+sqrt%28+-8+%29%29%2F6+
x+=+%282+%2B-+2%2Asqrt%28+-2+%29%29%2F6+
x+=+%282+%2B-+2i%2Asqrt%28+2+%29%29%2F6+
