You can put this solution on YOUR website! Tom has a average of 92.5 for his 3 history tests. what does he need to make on the 4th test to get at average of 94%?
Let his score on the 4th test be "x".
If the average on the 1st 3 tests is 92.5 they add up to 3(92.5)=277.5
Then the average of 4 tests is (277.5 + x) /4 = 4(94)
277.5+x = 376
x=98.5 (Score Tome will need on the 4th test)
