You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Train A has a speed 15 miles per hour greater than that of Train B. If Train A travels 150 miles in the same time Train B travels 120 miles, what are the speeds of the two trains? 100 mph
Train B has traveled 120 mph
Train reaches station at 07:20
Train B reaches station at 07:35
Difference in time= 00:15 0.25
will have covered 25 miles before Train B starts
catch up distance= 25 miles
catch up speed = 120 -100 mph
catch up speed = 20 mph
Catchup time = catchup distance/catch up speed
catch up time= 25 / 20
catch up time= 1.25 hours
Add this 1hour 15 minutes to 7:25 . thats the time Train B crosses Train A
