The additive identity is the number that has the property that when you add this number to ANY number, the result is ALWAYS that other number.


The additive identity is 0. Notice that 0 plus any number is that number.


Eg: 0 + 5 = 5, 0 + 22 = 22, 0 + (-10) = -10, etc
